Relatively short day. Hope to be back by 3 PM. Longer approach from top of British Properties in West Van via Baden-Powell trail. We will skirt the Nordic controlled recreation area making our own trail from West Lake. If you've only ever skied Hollyburn from the Nordic parking lot, you'll be surprised what lies beyond the hurly burly and find some lines North Shore Rescue would have hoped no one knew about. Lots of skiing through big old growth trees (helmet optional).

You need skis, snow shovel and beacon. In terms of skiing ability, you need to be competent skiing big trees and narrow trails.
