Trip Description

A beginner-ish friendly day trip to Mt. Rohr up in the Duffey (pg. 130 in Baldwin). The terrain will generally be beginner friendly, but the objective is to summit Rohr and that will mean this is a longer day than trips like Zoa or Iago. I could also have some challenging terrain and we will need to keep up a decent pace to make it to the summit and back in a day.

  • Participants must be able comfortably to ski/ride at least black diamond runs in bounds.
  • Participants must have taken AST-1 Course
  • Participants must have a Probe, Beacon and Shovel and know how to use them

I can take 3 people and gear (plus myself). We will need one other driver for this group size. The trip objective may change if weather or avalanche conditions are too intense, or if conditions are just much better in another zone.
