Trip Description

Basic Mountaineering Skills Introduction

Wednesday, April 24, 2019 5:55pm to 9:30pm

Training Plan for Session 1 — info/prep

  • Evening session
  • Gear overview
  • Clothing/footwear
  • Group management/people dynamics/risks
  • Pre-trip planning

 

Participants should bring the gear they possess and think they will need for the course (i.e.: tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, stove, etc). There is no need to purchase or rent any equipment. Bring only what you have.

Note:  applicants on the reserve list will be invited to attend the evening session to enable one of them to fill a spot should one of the 15 be unable to continue (injuries/family emergencies).
 
Note 2: In addition to the main trainer volunteers, several additional trainer volunteers will be attending and assisting with the Mtn Intro sessions.
