Trip Description

Avalanche Transceiver & Rescue Skills — skills practice session

This two-part skills training is suitable for anyone.  It will consist of an evening information session (online) followed by a full day of skills practice (Seymour).

The evening information session will start at 7:00pm and run approximately 2 hours. Participants will be provided with resource material afterwards.

The daytime skills practice will start at 8:00am with attendance and transceiver check.

* NOTE: A hard probe strike or shovel strike will break your transceiver. Metal containers will block the transceiver signal. Tupperware/rubbermaid/plastic containers will crack or break in the cold.
Solutions: sturdy pelican case, plywood or cutting board to protect the transceiver.
