Is is a christmas party? Is it a crag day? Is it going to be cold? Who knows! Are we going to fall off rocks? Absolutely!

What we do know is that I want to climb, and in order to entice people, I will be hiking up enough propane to run a firepit for the entire day (approx 5-6hrs), as well as a camp stove, hot drinks, and various things that make us forget it's December!

Monastery is a overhanging crag that stays mostly dry in the winter, however the majority of the routes are 12A and up. There is a 10d that stays dryish, a perma drawed route that can be climbed halfway for an 11a burn, and two side by side routes that can be linked into a 5.10 (but I don't know if that one stays dry). Take a look at the guidebook!

It also gets direct sunlight in the morning to mid afternoon, which is the time period I will be planning to be there. It is a beautiful crag.
