Logistics & Timeline:
  • 5:30 AM: Meetup and carpool organization at St. David's Church
  • 6:45 AM: meet at Chance Creek Bridge
  • 7:30 AM: Feet on trail. We will maintain a steady, moderate pace through the forest to conserve energy for the upper alpine sections.

Experience
Everyone should be comfortable with class 3 scrambling and should have recent experience with long days.

Gear (Summer Scramble Packing List):
This is a long, demanding alpine day trip with significant exposure on the final ridge. You will bring:

  • water/electrolytes or adjust based on your needs
  • Food according to your needs
  • Sun and bug protection (Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug net/repellent)
  • Sturdy hiking boots or approach shoes with aggressive tread
