I've never hiked this before but it looks like it will go as follows:
(1) a trudge along a logging road
(2) a steep thrash up through the forest
(3) a hike along the ridge, with plenty of ups and downs but beautiful subalpine terrain and views of Howe Sound, Sky Pilot, Garibaldi &c.
There's a description of the route here:
https://besthikesbc.ca/hiking-goat-ridge-in-squamish/ but that one is in winter.
My hiking speed is pretty average - I'm probably on the moderate/slow side of the times listed in https://besthikesbc.ca/, and I'd prefer to go with people who enjoy going with the pace of the group, and enjoy the journey.
It looks like navigation takes a bit of work on this hike so I'd really appreciate people who have done some research and are prepared to participate in route-finding and decision-making.
We can discuss carpooling in the trip discussion thread.
