There are a few gems up Squamish valley, and this one is curiously not on a lot of people's radar. Mostly a pleasant hike along a ridge, there are a few moves up a rock step on fixed ropes. This route is safe to do on a rainy, sloppy day, and is just long enough to get some shoulder season exercise. There could be snow, there might be sleet and there will likely be mud! Are there any waterfalls? And are they high? You'll have to join to find out! Check out https://www.vancouvertrails.com/trails/high-falls-creek/ for details on the route. Expect about 5-6 hours to do the route at a casual pace, with lots of stops to enjoy the stellar views.
Equipment to bring: nothing apart from the usual hiking in the rain material. Always wise to bring microspikes. Feel free to ask me more if needed.
For those providing a vehicle (and we will need one more for the commute): the road into Squamish Valley is a partially maintained forestry road with plenty of potholes, but quite flat. I will likely bring my Toyota Camry. High clearance and 4 wheel drive is not required, though winter tires is the law so you probably should have them if you don't want to pay the big $$$.
