Marble Canyon is home to a stellar wall of limestone and a broad assortment of sport and trad moderate climbs. It is home to the longest sport climb in the Western Hemisphere, and other super long climbs that will leave you smiling and giggly. It is also one of the hottest places in Canada, leaving the window of comfortable climbing in spring or autumn. At my last visit (where I climbed Where's the Remote (sport 5.9+)), I thought about how cool it would be to spend some extended time here and expand my repertoire of Marble Canyon experience. I thought to extend this excellent idea to the BCMC. I would like to check out Sugar Marmot (5.9), maybe Agents of Erosion (.10b) if I am feeling spry. I am very tempted to try out a trad route too (Time Gentlemen Time (5.7).

My ideal concept for this trip is to snag a camp spot at the Marble Canyon campground ($18 cash a night/camping party). This is a first come first serve campground, with service that will end Sept. 30, when they close the park gate, and campsites can only be accessed by foot (therefore, less tantalizing for the nonclimbing crowd). I plan to leave early Thursday to snag a spot, which will hopefully go well. With that, we will have a base camp a minute away from the climbing area. Note that this area is about half an hour out of Lillooet and the nearest grocery store, so plan your car camping accordingly! We can certainly work out car pooling and share tents in the forum if needed.

I will likely have a climbing partner on this adventure. As this is largely a multipitch climbing area, I am hesitant to include new and non leading climbers, as this isn't an easy area to learn to climb or find climbing buddies, and I don't want to delegate and manage climbing teams. Therefore, preference goes to competent multipitch rock climbing leaders willing and able to be self sustaining, and to team up with other climbers in the group.
