Overnight hike to the Mountain Lake Hut with a possible summit to Mount Sheer if someone on the trip is open to leading the hike from the hut to Mount Sheer. Bring a swim suit if you want to brave a lake swim. The hut is heated so even if it rains it will be a comfortable sleep.

If driving please make sure your car is able to drive on steep-ish gravel roads and can handle some tree branch hugs up the road. My Forester AWD is great but a smaller car might struggle.

I will be securing a key to the gate so we will only need to hike from the trailhead and not from the gate. See trail map
