The hike into the Lizzie Cabin is about 15 km with 1400 m of elevation gain and takes about 6 to 7 hours. The trail has been recently brushed out and should be in good shape. There is good camping by the cabin, and the cabin offers a warm, somewhat dry place to get out of the rain if need be. It is a bit mousey, so best to plan on tenting. The terrain around the cabin offers a variety of peaks to scramble up, lush meadows, and deep blue lakes. This is a great place for alpine rambling. We could do a long day trip to Tundra Lake or even Tundra Peak, depending on the interest of the group. This is not a beginners back packing trip as the distance and elevation gain are significant. We will be a moderately fast-paced group. You should be able to do the Grouse Grind or equivalent in 75 min. There is good road access along Lillooet Lake to about km 16 and a short FSR to the trail head. AWD is handy but not necessary.
