Gauging interest for a trip out the Tchaikazan Valley, Chilcotins area. This is the approach to Monmouth and some of the less frequented summits in the SWBC range. A personal interest would be the beauty, skunk, beast traverse looks to be in the 3 – 4 range perhaps one 5 section that might require pro and a rappel.
The valley approach looks flat, like really flat. Measuring 200m gain over 12kms @ 1.6%. Once in there a plethora of trips are at your disposal.
This is an 8+ hr drive to the trail head. A reliable car is required. With not too many recent trip reports access will be different. Hopefully better but most likely worse.
Variable on the date due to whatever happens between now and then. The aim is for the last 2 weeks in August. This is kinda towards the end of wildfire season, bugs should be low. Aim is about 5-8 days including travel with a minimum 3 days in the valley for whatever your objectives are.
Options to heli in or do a food drop to the area, to lighten the load this will require a sufficient party to make the costs worthwhile
