Returning a decade later to these two, and I have my original GPS track from Oct 2016 for sharing. 

The plan: drive up the Van Horlick Creek FSR Friday night, then Morris car camp at Creek West Branch road, with a long day in the alpine to follow. You can expect ~2,000m of gain over 23 kms. There is a long ridge traverse offering breathtaking views and quiet air .

I expect some fresh, slippery snow on the boulders, however the trip will only proceed if the skies are clear (not the case at the moment).
