Megan, Ryan and I hiked the Zupjok-Llama-Alpaca ridge on Sunday 13 September. We met at the Guildford Park and Ride at 6am and started hiking from the Zopkios rest area a little before 8.

It was overcast, with a little smoke, but the cloud stayed high all day and the fall colours were out. We saw 5 bears, all at a comfortable distance. My favourite was one down in the meadow while we were traversing the ridge below Llama, who looked at us a couple of times then went back to stuffing its face in a leisurely fashion.
