Mt Vayu (Pemberton area)

4 day trip to the Mt. Vayu area in July. Leave on a Weds /Thursday, back on Sunday.

Peaks in the area are: Vayu, Vanara, Hanuman, the Frost Fiend, and Lone goat. There is a particular plateau area that has “peaked” my interest.

Approx: 12- 20km Hiking per day, 1200m elevation gain, Access from the gate from Jamie creek 

Day 1: Drive up and hike to the end of the Jamie Creek FSR (7km) bushwack to base camp (3-5km) (subject to change)

Day 2: Hanuman Vayu, Vanara  (14-16km)

Day 3: Relax and Explore, Tag the Frost Fiend 

Day 4: Hike out, Drive out

Multi-day Backpacking, Scramble Class 3-4, Summer Glacier Travel. Route finding.

Ice axe, Microspikes, and Helmet are required.
