Trip Description

Please note that is not a course, but a practice session for members who have already done a mountaineering/crevasse rescue course.

The goal is to practice crevasse rescue and review other glacier travel skills in a rugged but non-glaciated terrain. All participants are expected to have their personal gear - 10 essentials, helmet, harness, crampons, ice axe, crevasse rescue gear, etc. Detailed gear list and car pooling options will be shared in the Planning Forum.

Meeting Point: 7 am at the trailhead of Mount Seymour Trail at the end of the upper parking lot.

Depending on the conditions we might hike to Pump Peak, practice and then again move to a different area. Please be prepared for a long day on the mountain.
