Hey folks,
I do indoor climbing training at ClimbBase5 North Van and am inviting anyone who's also interested in joining. This Sat looks to be rainy, so perfect for an indoor session. The main idea is that it's a climbing session specifically for hard training (or however hard you'd like to go), rather than only fun climbing. It could involve, for example, doing drills, max effort climbs, specific climbing exercises, fall therapy, hang-boarding, etc.
Time subject to change depending on what works.
I have my own training program that I follow (à la Eric Horst, if anyone knows his book) and specific things I need to work on. If you have your own training routine and want company, that's great! We can figure out how to help each other train. If you have no routine of your own and just want to follow along, also great!
It's a great motivator to climb with other people who also want to train. It also helps to have an accountabilibuddy :) .
Here is an example of what a training session could look like:
10-15 mins of warmup
30-60 mins of climbing - e.g. max. strength climbing, mental practice, or technique drills (e.g. rooting, robot, sloth, etc)
20-30 mins of climbing specific exercises - e.g. hang-boarding, laddering, weighted pullups etc.
20-30 mins of core and leg conditioning - e.g. planking, squats, pushups, TYWs etc.
10 mins cool down if I've got the patience
