Hike Coliseum and Burwell, from the Seymour Valley side.
We start at the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve at the end of Lillooet Road in North Vancouver, then bike 9k along the paved but car-free Seymour Valley Trailway.
We then lock our bikes up in the trees and hike up the east side of Coliseum to the top. The first hour or so, to Paton, has some steep hiking through beautiful forest.
At the top of Coliseum there's a granite summit area with views to Vancouver and west to Crown and east to Bishop. We'll then continue along the ridge to Mount Burwell.
My hiking speed is pretty average - I'm probably on the moderate/slow side of the times listed in https://besthikesbc.ca/. But it's a long day and we'll need to keep a fairly sustained pace to get there and back.
