Meet: 9am at Murrin parking lot and walk to Woodstock or Commune
Carpooling
If you would like to arrange a carpool, I suggest meeting at St. David's Church parking lot at 8-8:15 AM. Participants can coordinate rides amongst themselves. I will be driving from Squamish and will not be coordinating carpools.
Important
Please arrive on time. If you miss the meeting time, I will not be making additional arrangements for late arrivals.
Experience Required
This trip is intended for climbers with prior outdoor sport climbing experience.
Participants should:
- Be comfortable belaying a lead climber
- Understand basic sport climbing systems and safety practices
- Ideally be able to lead climb, although this is not mandatory
Required Gear
As a group, we will need approximately one rope for every 2-3 climbers.
Each participant should bring:
- Harness
- Helmet
- Belay device
- Personal anchor system and anchor-building equipment
- Quickdraws (if you lead climb)
- Climbing shoes
- Food and snacks for the day
- Plenty of water
- Appropriate clothing for changing weather conditions
Duration
Please plan to stay until at least 2:00 PM. If you'd like to stay longer, you're welcome to do so. I plan to climb for as long as energy and conditions allow, likely into the late afternoon.
This will be a relaxed, social climbing day with plenty of opportunities to climb, belay, learn from others, and enjoy a great day on the rock. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there!
