Returning a decade later to these two, and I have my original GPS track from Oct 2016 for sharing. 

The plan: drive up the Van Horlick Creek FSR Saturday afternoon, then car camp at Creek West Branch road, with an alpine start for the long Sunday in the alpine to follow. You can expect ~2,000m of gain over 23 kms. There is a long ridge traverse offering breathtaking views and quiet air .

I expect some fresh, slippery snow on the boulders, however the trip will only proceed if the skies are clear. Final decision Thursday night or Friday before noon.
