Weather dependent, and Fire/ Smoke dependent.

Leave Thursday after work, back on the Sunday or @ the latest Monday morning. 
drive up, and car camp. Same access as Athelney pass.
Hike up and camp along the ridge of Whitecross,  there is a creek crossing and some steep hiking to get onto the west side of Salal creek. Water levels should be low enough to find a crossing at this point in the season, other than that no other technical difficulties, take lots of breaks. Looks to be a good place for sunrise and sunset with some good views of the Bridge glacier outflow further down the ridge. 

If we summit and hike out early, we can drive down and tag Athelstan (just down the road)  its optional, and mostly if we feel like it. There are multipitch routes available ranging from 5.7 – 5.11: moon raker(5.7), Randy Stoltmann tower(5.11a),Gnomon Direct (4 star, 5.10) I will be doing the scrambles route.

4X4 or AWD required.
