Trip Report
The B.C. Mountaineering Club is restoring access to Mamquam Mountain. Five days of work so far with a crew of up to 9 volunteers was just clearing impenetrable alder from the old overgrown roadbed. Two hundred meters of dense alder jungle remain before the edge of old growth timber is reached next to Paranoid Creek.
At the creek, a footbridge built in the 1990s has long since been washed away. The plan is to furbish handrails on a large, naturally fallen log just upstream.
