Participant Information

We'll park at Alexander Falls and then skin up Telemagique Ridge. It is 9.5km and 950m elevation gain to the top. The route up the ridge is simple terrain. If avalanche conditions are poor, we will return by going back the same way. If conditions are good, we can ski down toward either Callaghan or Madeley Lake to make a loop.

Gear required: Avi gear (Transceiver, Probe, Shovel), AT, or Tele Ski Equipment, Headlamp suitable for skiing. Splitboarders are welcome to join, but this route is often flat and may not be very enjoyable on a splitboard.

Welcome additional gear: GPS, PLB, camera, first aid kit, chocolate.

Please consider NOT seeking to join this trip unless you have conducted your own research into the route, and compared that with your own experience, fitness level and skill.

Recommended carpooling cost:  approx. $25 per passenger; please arrange with driver; bring funds. Each vehicle will have to purchase a Whistler Olympic Park backcountry access pass for $15. The suggested $25 per passenger is assuming that the driver buys the pass.

Please update your BCMC Account Profile with your emergency contact information. To do that you have to login on the website, click the "My account" button at top right, then click on "edit profile information", then select the "private information" tab and enter your emergency contact information -- this info will stay in your profile and is made available to a trip organizer automatically -- it saves time at the meeting point.
