Participant Information

The objective is to ski the east side of Flatiron. I'm relatively new to BC and haven't done this route before. So there will likely be some route finding involved. The route appears to be relatively straight forward. But you should  take a look at Baldwin's guide (page 193 in the 3e) and get to know the route description. The trip is dependent on avalanche conditions and weather; high winds and low visibility that hinders navigation would likely cancel the trip.

You don't need to be an expert skier (or snowboarder), but keep in mind that the backcountry is not a good place to learn to ski (or snowboard). You will need to have AST-1 or equivalent (e.g. AIARE Level 1), and you'll need a shovel, beacon, probe, AT skis (or splitboard) and skins.
