A day of fun for steep enthusiasts with a focus on couloirs in the slack-country (conditions permitting) and or off-piste steep runs. Primary goal is to get away from crowds a bit and ski multiple ski steep lines such as Flute Chutes, Flute North Bowl, and off-piste steeps like The Cirque, The Couloir, West Cirque, Exhilaration, Excitation, in a supportive group with a priority on fun and reasonable safety. In an ideal world this may look like 2-3 laps of Flute Chutes and then to Peak for more easy access couloirs (The Cirque, The Couloir, West Cirque, Exhilaration, Excitation).
While this terrain is "managed", a full BC set up is required (beacon, probe, shovel) and some method to ascend Flute (like a tech set up or track binding, with skins). Please consider the above "example" runs to make sure you are comfortable in this terrain, before joining trip. To keep the group goal oriented, participants will be selected on the basis of their steep experience, back/slack country experience / and comfort level. Because of steep skiing logistics / safety / hazard management, the party will be kept to 5 participants.
