Participant Information

Hi All,

Planning to do a quick skin up from Callaghan Valley to Gin Peak. This is an intermediate trip, with elevation gain of about 1000m. There is flagged route from the cross country ski area up to the alpine that we will be following. Hopefully, we'll do a couple of laps in the alpine before heading down. Goal is to return to Vancouver, somewhat early, by about 6pm.

This trip is in the Callaghan section of the Baldwin book

The cross country ski area charges $15/vehicle for parking

Please do your own research on the trip. You should be self-sufficient with route finding and winter skiing skills if you were to become seperated from the group

Bring water and food

Bring avy gear (shovel, probe and transciever)

Bring spot and/or GPS if you have them
