Please give us an idea of your rock climbing experience and skills, indoor or outdoor
You must login in order to sign up online for one of the BCMC Trips. If you don't have a BCMC membership account then please obtain one. If you'd prefer to learn more before joining then please join as a 30-day Guest member. Some trips are BCMC members only.
Learn how to Trad Climb outdoors safely with a professional guide. This is a great way to move from gym climbing or sport climbing into the world of outdoor rock climbing. You don't need to already know how to lead climb, but should already have some indoor or outdoor rock climbing and belaying experience.
You'll learn everything you need to go trad climbing safely on your own including: bolted and trad anchor construction, protection placement and removal, equipment selection and use, lead theory, belaying a leader, belaying a second, common hazards, cleaning anchors, and rappelling.
This course is taught by Rock Solid Adventures by a professional ACMG certified guide. Rock Solid is offering a special price for BCMC members of $150 + GST (regular price for non-members: $170 + GST). Better yet, combine this course with the Intro to Multi-Pitch course on June 11th, and save an additional $25! Price for both is $275 + GST!
To register for this course, follow these steps:
