Participant Information

There are a number of crevasse rescue systems out there and it can be confusing when you're on a rope team who's using what and which you should invest in. They all work, but which ones are more efficient than others and why? We'll set up and compare 3 current systems so you can see the pros and cons of each and make an informed decision. We'll discuss costs and the net weight of carrying each type.

Systems covered include:

1) Pulleys and Prusiks
2) Mammut Rescue You
3) Petzl Tibloc and Microtraxion Pulley

Bring whatever system you currently use (harness, carabiners, practice rope)
