Give me an overview of your mountaineering experience/training.

Can you drive and, if so, how many passengers can you take?

Tentative Plan:
We'll climb Joffre Peak via the Southeast Face (rated PD+) and Mount Matier via the Northeast Spur (rated PD+).

Note: if some members of the group would like to try a different route, that can be discussed on the trip Planning Forum.

We will camp at the motel 66 area, since it central to most routes, approaching via the Cerise Creek Trail which passes by Keith's Hut.

All participants must have either climbed with me before or have participated in a similar BCMC trip which I can verify with the organizer.

Proposed Timeline:
UPDATE: let's meet early Saturday morning at 5am at St David's Church parking lot.  We'll do a quick stop in Pemberton for a second breakfast.  My plan is for us to head up the trail about 8am, arrive at Motel 66 about 11am, set up camp, store any non-summit gear in the tents, then head up the Joffre route leaving at noon... aiming to arrive back at camp before 8pm by retracing our route.
Sunday - head up Matier then back down to camp to pack up and hike out.  Our drive home will include a stop at a local eatery for food and drinks.

All participants will need a full complement of glacier travel/general mountaineering gear.

Shared gear will be sorted out in the Planning Forum.
