This will be our 2nd attempt to ski up Mamquam Mountain this year in a long day trip. The forecast is for a bluebird day. This will be a fast paced trip suitable for fit, experienced skiers only. I expect that it will be similar difficulty to the Spearhead or Neve traverse in a day.
We will start from the Watersprite Lake summer trailhead at the dam. The road is clear of snow now.
We will only attempt this trip if the weather and avalanche conditions are favorable.
Gear required: Avalanche gear (Transceiver, Probe, Shovel), skis, headlamp, sun screen, sunhat, sunglasses.
I have posted a GPS track of our planned route.
Distance: | 24.5 km |
Elevation Gain: | 1800 m |
