Participant Information

I have set the dates for Friday to Sunday but it's highly weather dependent.  It could be a single or a multi day trip.

Alpine Select Pages 134, 348 & 352.  Travel will be at a steady but moderate pace in order to achieve the stated objective.

Depart Friday after work - 2 hrs to Austin Pass parking.  Hike to Lake Ann - 2.5 hrs.  Set up camp.

Early departure  - Lower Curtis Glacier - Fisher Chimneys - Winnies Slide - Upper Curtis Glacier - Hells Highway - Sulphide Glacier - Summit Tower South Side via the class 3 gully.

The descent will be more difficult than the assent.  Expect 10 to 14 hours return time to Lake Ann Camp.

Kick off the boots, go for a swim, and enjoy the beverage(s) of your choice.  With good decisions and some luck we will all celebrate the successful summit a beautiful mountain.  Spend the night (not mandatory).

Hike out and easy drive home on Sunday.  Or do the whole thing in one day with a super early departure time from Vancouver.

You need to know how to set an anchor and place gear, use a picket and an ice screw, be proficient at rappel and belay.  Parts of this route may require roping up.  There will be two teams of 3.  If you are unable to hike within a group structure please don't sign up.

Consideration will be given to those with experience, my personal knowledge of your skill set, and your ability to supply rides, gear, humour, intelligence, route finding, and so forth.

If you are considering this trip please answer the participant questions.

No one leaves until everyone is back.
