Participant Information

Fly in to Qikiqtarjuaq, NU. Local guide transfer on snowmobile to park boundary. ~8  days to ski traverse 100 km.
Make side trips to:

  • Mt Asgard via Turner Gl
  • Highway Gl
  • Un-named Valley "Behind the June Shelter" (The 3rd shelter along) (as per Parks Canada's advice).

Local guide transfer on snowmobile to Pangnirtung, NU. Fly out.

This trip is in an extremely remote location and therefore has added risks compared to typical trips (even multi-day trips) on the south coast. There will be no professional guides or professional support; save for snowmobile transfer to and from the Park boundary.

This trip is slowly evolving to become a reality for 2020. It is no longer "just an idea."

At this time, registration for this event is not a commitment to travel. Registration for this event is simply for planning and expression of interest purposes only.

Also at this time, with the members registered, I feel we do not have sufficient high-level first aid available amongst trip participants. I am planning on taking an 80 hour WFR this summer. I feel we will need a second well qualified BCMCer on this trip with a good level of first aid in order for this trip to be run safely.
