Participant Information

Participants should be comfortable with complex and steep terrain.

Bring backcountry ski gear, avi gear, and be proficient with it. If assessment of conditions leading up to trip (or day of) is deemed too risky, we’ll find an alternative.

Plan is for a ‘medium’ pace

Expect ~1,250m elevation gain and ~13k round trip over ~7 hrs.

Please have at least some basic knowledge of the route, avy conditions (likely to be ‘low’) and other details so that you can lead if need be. Expect a variety of snow conditions.

An  option is to drive up Friday and split a room(s) in Pemberton. Saves 2 hours that morning and increases the safety margin. Cost would be $35-45/person, and should get us home a bit earlier Saturday night too. Can be discussed in the planning forum
