Participant Information

This 3-day backcountry thru hike requires long car shuttles at either end, the one at Brohm Ridge is on rough roads requiring clearance and 4WD. This non-technical hike has steep sections around Mount Price and a creek crossing, but is otherwise meant to be at a relaxed pace to enjoy the exquisite and geologically interesting wilderness.

Friday after work, drive to Helm Creek to leave one car there and drive back to the Brohm FSR. Camp at or near car at gate. Saturday hike along Brohm Ridge over Brohm Peak and camp along the ridge above the Warren Glacier.

Sunday drop down into Culliton Creek. There is no bridge and crossing should be done in the morning. Hiking poles or ice ax for support are a must. Climb Mount Price and drop down to the Garibaldi Lake camp site for the night.

Monday cross over to Helm Creek on maintained trails. If time permits, the Tusk could be bagged on the way. Drive out and pick up car from Brohm Ridge FSR.

The trip costs are $22 per person for Garibaldi Park backcountry camping fees (for 4-person trip). E-transfer in order to be confirmed for this trip.

Required: Good level of fitness and wilderness backpacking experience, overnight camping gear, hiking poles or ice ax, micro spikes, bear spray, 10 essentials https://www.northshorerescue.com/education/what-to-bring/ . Sharing of overnight gear will be discussed once participants are confirmed.
