Participant Information

A group of us went to Smith Rocks over the Canada day weekend and had a blast so I would like to return. I hear that October is very nice time of the year to climb there.

The plan is to leave Thursday after work, (it is a very long drive ) or you can leave very early Friday morning and climb until about noon Monday.

Camping is $8.00 per night and is on a first come first served basis You pay when we arrive at the campground. There are showers and the fee is included in the $8.00. It is a very nice campground. This trip will go if the weather is decent there. There is also water for drinking and washing your dishes and a designated cooking area.

This is not a trip for beginners you must have outdoor climbing experience and  come with harness, personal anchor system, locking carabiners, helmet, climbing shoes, prussik,  anchor building material and rope if you have it . Be able top rope/lead belay. The routes are sport climbing although top ropes will be set up. I will  be climbing  easy sport and top rope. Feel free to sport climb, multi-pitch or Trad.

Please use the planning forum for car pooling See the club guidelines for driver compensation  https://bcmc.ca/club_driver_guidelines.php
