If we haven't skied together before:
What Avalanche training have you taken? How recently have you practiced?
What are some recent ski tours that you've been on?
You must login in order to sign up online for one of the BCMC Trips. If you don't have a BCMC membership account then please obtain one. If you'd prefer to learn more before joining then please join as a 30-day Guest member. Some trips are BCMC members only.
The plan is to skin up Hollyburn, ski down the NW side, skin up to Strachan, ski down Christmas Gully, skin up Black, ski back to the parking lot.
The NW side of Hollyburn and Christmas Gully have some steep bits, so you should be comfortable skiing black runs. The total distance is not too great, and there are many options for cutting things short, so you need not have a lot of touring experience.
Gear required: avalanche gear (transceiver, probe, shovel), AT, tele, or splitboard equipment, headlamp.
