This course is for BCMC members only looking to obtain or improve companion rescue skills. Course will be held June 27, 2020.
Note 1: if this course is not fully booked, i.e. 6 paid participants, this course may be cancelled and refunds will be provided to those that paid.
Base Course Fee: $135 + GST (Special BCMC Members price).
Course Objectives and Itinerary: Taught by Canada West Mountain School (CWMS). The 1-day BCMC Crevasse Rescue Course is for climbers, hikers and skiers who already have previous rope handling experience and are looking to build a solid techniques for using ropes to conduct a Crevasse Rescue. Focusing on building a foundation of Crevasse Rescue skills, you will spend a full day on-snow in a local alpine area learning and practicing technical crevasse rescue systems. This 1-day Crevasse Course provides a very intensive and hands-on learning experience.
