Meeting point: St. David's church or Squamish - will be coordinated in the planning forum

Craig: We will be splitting into two groups. One will go to Murrin (sport climbing), the other to Smoke Bluffs (top roping)

Plan is to do some easy climbs (I'll have a friend learning to top rope) - we can match people up based on ability.

We will try to hit a patio when we are done for the day (or my personal favourite, $1.50 parking lot samosas).

Gear List:

  • Helmet (mandatory)
  • Harness
  • Belay device
  • Anchor material (if you have it)
  • Climbing shoes
  • Draws (if you are lead climbing)
  • Rope (if you have one)
  • Water (bring lots!)
  • Lunch
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray

I'll bring a copy of Squamish Select and a first aid kit.

The weather is looking like it might rain on Thursday / Friday. We will choose a Craig that should be dry by Sunday, and also appropriate for the group's climbing ability (e.g., if people are sport climbing, then we will go to Murrin).
