You must do the COVID-19 test that morning.
Standard day hiking equipment and supplies needed, and modest fitness. Do you have them?
I hope that at least one other is interested in a bit of climbing - you'd need some experience, harness, shoes, belay device, helmet, etc. (I've done some on Pump before.) Anyone interested?
If anyone needs a ride on Sunday morning, we'll figure something out.
You must login in order to sign up online for one of the BCMC Trips. If you don't have a BCMC membership account then please obtain one. If you'd prefer to learn more before joining then please join as a 30-day Guest member. Some trips are BCMC members only.
The goal is to ascend Mount Seymour, and in particular to examine Pump and Dinky Peaks for evidence of climbing there in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Some may just hike, others may do some moderate climbing, which is my priority - research. With any luck, we'll see some bears, and bluebearries.
Someone(s) knowledgeable in the group will need to make reservations on the "Discover BC" website at 06:00 on Sunday morning, and report. If we fail to obtain reservations, a last-minute Plan B may be needed. Ideas?
