Participant Information

Meet at six am at St. Davids Church at six am.  Please do not be late.  We will not wait.  Please bring masks if you intend to carpool.  The road to the upper parking lot requires AWD and reasonable clearance.  A Subaru Forester works well ( I have one).  There is a good trail up to the meadows and a fine route to the summit with just a bit of boulder hopping and scree.  Please see: https://www.summitpost.org/brandywine-mountain/1005081 to familiarize yourself with the trail.  As it is out and back, participants can move at their own pace. It is about a six to seven-hour round trip.  In the event that we do not have enough AWD vehicles to get to the trailhead, it is possible to start lower down from an easier to reach the trailhead.  I will not be organizing carpooling, but please post in the forum if you need a ride or if you have a vehicle and are willing to provide transportation.  Please take the Covid-19 screening test and confirm that you have passed.  https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en.  As this will be a moderately fast-paced trip, please do not come if you can't get up the Grind or BCMC trail in around an hour.  Bring sufficient gear that you could spend the night out in the event of an emergency.  (The ten essentials)  This is a dog-friendly trip.
