Uphill Athlete training program is developed by Steve House and Scott Johnston based on their books "Training for the New Alpinism" and "Training for the Uphill Athlete". You can read more about the training approach here -

This article is specific to mountaineering, but the training approach and structure are very similar to other mountain sports. I recently completed my first cycle of Uphill Athlete's 24-Week Mountaineering Training Plan and will share my experience in this online session.
