It's a long drive on gravel to the end of the Bridge River FSR, but then a relatively short hike to a spectacular Lake and the start of a great adventure in the alpine meadows in this South Western corner of the South Chilcotin Mountains. Please see the Youtube video to get the idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3Xv-H8FUnE We will drive to a small mining hut at the end of the road and then hike about two hours up to the aptly named Glacier View Lake. From here we will explore the surrounding peaks before moving camp up to another lake closer to Griswold Pass. Lots of scope for exploring the peaks that rise about 500 m from the meadows. No need for climbing gear, but micro spikes may be handy for walking on the glacier, which will be just ice by this time of the year. This will be a moderately fast-paced trip. You should be able to do the Grouse Grind or similar trail in about an hour and be prepared to spend 6 - 8 hours hiking each day.
