Condition dependent, we’ll check Nak off your guys’ bucket lists!
Some tracks from previous trips I’ve done up there:
The standard up-track is the line on the east side. If memory serves, this trip had some great runs EXCEPT for the lower half of the line we took out (the far west one down to the highway)-we got suckered in by fantastic skiing, then decided to just see how it went, suffered for it lower down-cut east earlier to avoid hell ski out, or skin up (I believe it cliffs out somewhere between run 1 and the ski out/below run 1.

This is the track for one of my fave runs (Nak North Bowl)-needs good stability, coverage, and visibility to not be terrifying though, so we need good luck for this one to go:

Details will be discussed in WhatsApp chat. Unless otherwise specified, assume that days out touring will mean we meet up before sunrise and are back in the city after dinner.
Always leave a trip plan (where you are going, who you are with, what vehicle you are in, when they should expect to hear from you) with someone you trust. Whitney always carries a Spot satellite device (in case of life threatening emergency only, doesn’t have messaging capability).
Required (on every trip!):
-10 essentials (means of navigating, headlamp, knife, first aid and repair kits, emergency bivy, means of starting a fire, more food/water/layers than you expect to need, extra batteries)
-avalanche safety gear (transceiver-CHECK YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE YOU LEAVE, shovel, probe)
-skins
-poles
-skis/splitboard
-stoke for the day!
Optional:
-hot tea or beverage
-foam butt pad
-change of clothes/socks for after
-snacks to leave in the vehicle for after
