Trip Planning Questions
Should the BCMC have a chapter in Squamish? Who would be involved? What sort of things would it do in addition to outdoor activities (socials? speakers? mentorship/instruction? moss cultivation?). Who would take lead roles, and what are next steps?

Participant Information
All members of the B.C. Mountaineering Club living in Squamish and the Sea to Sky corridor are invited to a meeting on Sunday, November 24th, to discuss the possible formation of a chapter of the club based in Squamish. All interested climbers and mountaineers in the area are also welcome.
Location: Squamish Public Library, Community Meeting Room.
Time: 1:00 – 3:00, followed by a social outing/refreshments.
There will also be short talks by past-president Glenn Woodsworth on the first ascent of University Wall in 1966, and by Anders Ourom on the early history of rock climbing in southwest BC, and a social afterwards.
The BCMC has had informal branches at times in the past, and with the number of members now in the Squamish area, and the club’s deep roots in mountaineering and climbing in this area, its time to discuss whether we should have a branch there. There will be refreshments. Maximum 50, so please sign up!
