I am trying to organize an Avalanche Skills Training 2 (AST2) for SNOWSHOERS with Canada West Mountain School. AST2 is not offered for snowshoers as a default, but they will provide it for a private group.
I already have three people wanting to take the course, so I am looking for at least three more to make it a go.
It would take place in February or March 2025 and would be over two weekends (four days in total). The cost would be $575 plus GST per person. I will enquire about a BCMC discount when I have enough people, but it looks like we may be eligible for a discount.
Once I have six people interested, we can narrow down the dates (and also check guide availability with Canada West). I put the first week of February as a place holder, but we will have to work out the exact dates as a group.
You must have your AST1 to take this course.
