Stats:

~ 800m Elev. Gain

` 6 - 8 km

Summit: ~ 1435 m

 Event Description:

I have been up this Peak twice using different Ascent routes.

Looking for a new Route using a rocky Ridge .

I am planning to leave Chilliwack around 4:30 AM and stopping at Tim Horten's in Merritt before proceeding to the planned Starting Point below the Peak.

Anyone wanting to join me needs to bring their own Transportation , as I will visit a friend in Merritt after the Hike.

Hike Date is only tentatively planned for March 01st,2025. The exact date is Weather dependent . Looking for a nice sunshiny day and good Road conditions. Aiming for anywhere between middle of February to Middle of March.

The views are stunning on a sunny day, as you can see on the Photos below.

It is a cheeky little Scramble Mountain . Nice open Terrain .I am over 60 now and prefer not to race anymore. But I do like to explore and to move at a steady and moderate pace .

The Fun and Joy aspect has become higher for me now than Speed ...

Things to bring:

Hardware:

10 Essentials

Microspikes

Ice-axe

Helmet

Snowshoes

Poles with Baskets + Gaiters are helpful  (steep Terrain and likely Snowshoeing near the Summit)

"Software":

Bring a positive Attitude

An interest in Off-trail Route-finding and Adventure

EXTRA INFO:

For any Questions about this trip , please email , call or text me .

I might cancel this trip or change the Trip-destination if weather and Road conditions are not looking really good.
