We will be crossing Joffre lake then ascending Mt Tszil via the tszil-slalok col. This route has open, gentle ski slopes and a gentle uptrack. The total distance is 13 km. Recent trip reports for the Joffre Lakes area suggest there's some icy areas on the uptrack, so if you have crampons or ski crampons, bring them. We will be setting a turnaround time to make sure we are back on level ground before dark, please make sure to bring a charged headlamp, a warm mid-layer, and plenty of food and water.
