Ski ascent of Garibaldi, beginning at Diamond Head parking lot, following route to Elfin Lakes, then crossing Ring Creek to the Garibaldi Neve. Camping near the foot of the glacier, ascending Garibaldi on day 2 and returning to camp. Third day will be ski out the route we came up.
Advanced ski touring and mountaineering experience required.
Required equipment. This list is MANDATORY, no exceptions:
- Ski touring gear in excellent condition including ski and boot crampons, ice axe
- Beacon, shovel, probe, helmet
- Crevasse rescue equipment
- Proper 3 or 4 season camping gear including tent, pad appropriate for snow and winter sleeping bag
Confirmed participants must attend an online meeting to go over expectations.
