This is a volunteer run two-part program, with one evening session on February 25, and a weekend session on March 15-16. Please sign up only if you are 100% committed to attending.
General Plan
Session 1: February 25
- Evening session
- Location to be determined, but will likely be held outdoors, weather permitting

- Clothing/footwear
- Group management/people dynamics/risks
- Partner up for the weekend session
- Pre-trip planning
Session 2: March 15-16
- Overnight trip
- Location: Motel 66
- Will build upon the evening session
- Tenting on snow
- Break into groups to ski after we set up camp
- Group dining
Equipment
A gear list will be shared after the evening session. Participants will be asked to bring all the overnight gear they think they will need to the evening session. Participants are discouraged from making any purchases until after the evening session.
Prerequisites
- AST 1 or higher
- Good fitness.
- Intermediate to advanced skier. You must be able to ski with a heavy pack through tight trees in marginal conditions.
- Some backpacking experience preferred.
