Changing the dates as there has not been any sign-up yet, and we are getting too close to the weekend. Hopefully there will be interest for the later weekend.
Leaving on either Friday Night (4pm) or Sat Morning (8th, 7am).
Driving back on Tuesday during the day (so climbing Sun/Mon... maybe Sat afternoon if we leave Friday).
Options will be to either camp or get a hotel in Canmore, depending on the teams choice.
Driving: Justin Bennett (4runner, so space for either 4 or 5 total depending on how squishy we want to be) Participation will be set to 4 people, but we can flex that depending on whether we get another driver and if the people in the back know each other and are comfortable cramming in... and if more than 4 people want to come.
This is planned to be SUPER SUPER easy climbing. Probably mostly top roping from my side... easing back into it after a few years off.
Climbs planned are easy areas:
Day One: Junkyards
Day Two : Spirit Bear or Chantilly Falls
Prerequisites:
- all of the necessary gear to be self sufficient for technical ice climbing
- at least a few days out on ice under your belt
- very competent belayer
